Government Arts and Science College is established as a constituent college of Bharathiar University in the year 2012. The government had allotted 25 acres land and Rs. 7.5 crore for the construction of permanent building.
The college established with 5 UG programmes and enrolled the students’ strength of 228 with 8 faculties from the inception. At present college offers 8 Undergraduate Courses, 5 Postgraduate Courses, 6 M.Phil Programmes and 7 Ph.D Programmes. Now we have 1533 students with 77 Teaching and 19 Non teaching Staff. Our institution has recognised under section 2F and 12B status of the UGC Act 1956.
